Hoi An
Yellow walls, bougainvillea and lanterns above the river at night. You can rent an ao dai in Hoi An or have one tailored quickly.
Lotus ponds
The lotus ponds bloom in summer – a classic for ao dai photos. Most beautiful early in the morning when the flowers are open.
Golden Bridge
The bridge held by stone hands in the Ba Na Hills near Da Nang. Only really empty with the first cable car.
Ninh Binh
From the Hang Mua viewpoint with its stone dragon you look over rice fields and karst mountains – after a few hundred steps.
Ha Long Bay
Sunrise on deck between the limestone islands – ideally on an overnight cruise.
Phu Quoc
Sunset over the sea at the Kiss Bridge in Sunset Town and on the beaches in the west of the island.
